Damon Heta produced the highest average of the day at Players Championship 14 in Hildesheim, firing in a huge 110.78 during his 6-1 second round victory over Jim Long. The Australian comfortably led the averages chart from the event, although his run ended in the following round after a 6-4 defeat to eventual finalist Max Hopp.

Joe Cullen recorded the second-highest average of the tournament with a 108.34 in his convincing 6-1 win over compatriot Adam Lipscombe in the last 32. Cullen eventually saw his run ended in the last 16 after a 6-4 defeat against eventual champion Wessel Nijman. Just behind Cullen came Cristo Reyes, who averaged 108.06 during a 6-1 opening round victory against Sebastian Bialecki before later losing a deciding-leg clash to James Hurrell.

Dirk van Duijvenbode also featured prominently near the top of the averages standings, averaging 106.82 in his opening round win over former WDF world champion Shane McGuirk. He eventually reached the last 16, where he lost heavily to compatriot Danny Noppert. Beau Greaves produced a 103.41 average during another impressive ProTour showing, continuing to underline her growing consistency at this level. Although he did not top the averages standings, Nijman ended the tournament with the title, beating Hopp 8-1 in the final to secure a remarkable fifth Players Championship crown of the season and further strengthen his position at the top end of the Pro Tour Order of Merit.
