The world champion edged past Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton and Luke Humphries all by 6-5 scorelines to claim his sixth nightly win of the 2026 campaign.
In a format built around short races and relentless pressure, surviving one deciding-leg match is difficult enough. Littler did it three times in succession against three of the Premier League’s biggest names. The run also pushed him onto 39 points at the top of the table, opening up a five-point lead over Jonny Clayton and tightening his grip on first place heading into the final two league nights.
Littler’s evening began against Van Gerwen in a quarter-final that swung repeatedly before the teenager edged through in the deciding leg. The semi-final followed a similar pattern. Clayton, already qualified for the play-offs himself, pushed Littler all the way before another last-leg escape sent the reigning world champion into the final. Then came perhaps the toughest test of the lot against Humphries. The pair traded legs throughout a high-quality final, with both players averaging over 100, before Littler held his nerve again in the decider to complete a unique Premier League treble.
What makes the statistic stand out is that it reflects a different side to Littler’s dominance this season. Much of his rise has been built on overwhelming scoring power and heavy victories. In Leeds, however, he repeatedly found himself dragged into tense, scrappy moments where margins were razor-thin. Instead of blowing opponents away, he survived. That ability to come through under maximum pressure may be even more significant than the averages themselves, particularly with the Premier League now entering its decisive phase.
Littler now has six nightly wins from 14 events and sits five points clear of Jonny Clayton at the top of the table with only two league nights remaining. All three opponents averaged over 98 across their matches with Littler, yet all three still left Leeds defeated.
