Danny Noppert survived missed match darts to defeat Alan Soutar in a last-leg decider during the second session of action at the Austrian Darts Open in Graz on Saturday evening. The Dutchman held his nerve in a tense finale to book his spot in the third round.

The match was part of a busy evening session that saw several big seeds begin their campaigns, including Michael van Gerwen, Gian van Veen, Josh Rock, James Wade, and Peter Wright, all vying for third round places.

Noppert's victory was the standout result of the session, as he battled back from the brink to overcome a determined Soutar. The Scot had chances to seal the win but missed match darts, allowing Noppert to force a decider and ultimately prevail.
