The PDC Women's Series returns on Sunday for the final two events of the weekend (11 & 12) at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester. Beau Greaves starred with two titles yesterday and has now won 55 in all. However, Greaves could soon face a ban from playing the Women's Series if she reaches the top 64 due to PDC rules, which might allow other players to breathe a sigh of relief.
As well as Greaves, the usual faces include Fallon Sherrock and Lisa Ashton, among others. Notably, Noa-Lynn van Leuven is not allowed to play due to a recent IOC ban on transgender players, which has been adopted by the PDC. Other contenders include Aileen de Graaf, Rhian O'Sullivan, and Women's World Champion Deta Hedman, all aiming to stop the continued rise of Greaves, who also won her maiden ProTour just last month.
The prizes on offer include spots at the Women's World Matchplay, which operates on a year-round system from July until the following season. The PDC World Darts Championship and Grand Slam of Darts also offer multiple spots. Unlike the Challenge Tour or Development Tour, there are no Tour Cards for the champion. All action is on PDCTV or DartConnect with two tournaments on Sunday.
The draw for Event 11 features a Last 128 round with matchups including Laura van den Berg vs Jo Locke, Fallon Sherrock vs Karolina Ratajska, and Lisa Ashton vs Gemma Reynolds. The Last 64 includes Beau Greaves facing the winner of Jennifer Doyle vs Donna Ralph, and Deta Hedman taking on Ros Hemmings. Full results and the Order of Merit are available via the provided link.
