Luke Woodhouse finally secured his maiden PDC tournament victory on Tuesday, triumphing in Players Championship 18 by defeating Andrew Gilding in the final. The Englishman expressed relief after ending his long wait for a title on the professional circuit.

Woodhouse battled through a tough field to reach the final, where he faced Gilding in a tense showdown. The victory marks a significant milestone in his career, having previously come close on several occasions without breaking through.

Fans can catch the Premier League Darts action live on Sky Sports from Sheffield on Thursday at 7pm, with Finals Night scheduled for May 28 in London.
