Beau Greaves has suggested introducing a women’s Premier League Darts to run alongside the men’s event, arguing it would make the competition more engaging and attract more fans. Speaking to talkSPORT, the 55-time PDC Women’s Series winner acknowledged the idea might be a stretch but believes it could breathe life into a format she describes as “repetitive.”
“It’s probably a bit of a stretch but I would have a female Premier League as well alongside the men,” Greaves said. “I know people probably don’t want to see the ladies play, I get it. But it also adds something to them sort of nights.” She added that the current Premier League can feel “boring” and “flat,” and that adding a women’s competition—or even other tours—would “shake it up and make it interesting.”
Greaves, widely regarded as the top female player, would be the favourite to win such a title. Fallon Sherrock and Lisa Ashton would be strong competitors, but Greaves has dominated the women’s scene, winning 55 PDC Women’s Series titles and making history as the first woman to win a PDC ranking title—defeating former world champion Michael Smith in a last-leg decider at Players Championship 11.
The 2026 Premier League Darts is nearing its climax, with Luke Littler and Jonny Clayton already joined by Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries at the O2 after the former world champions secured their spots on finals night. With two weeks remaining, debate continues over how to keep the event fresh.
Greaves also reflected on her introduction to the sport, recalling how her grandfather, father, uncle, and brother all played. “My grandad plays and so on. Obviously, my dad played and my uncle played. Then Taylor played, my brother, and then I started playing,” she said. She noted that her father was initially unimpressed until he saw her throw: “The way I throw is a very natural throw for a girl.” Greaves joked she still has “a bone to pick” with her dad for not believing in her sooner.
