The Baltic Sea Darts Open 2026 is set to take place from Friday May 29 to Sunday May 31 in Kiel, featuring 48 players competing for a total prize fund of £230,000. The winner will take home £35,000, with the runner-up earning £15,000. Semi-finalists receive £10,000, quarter-finalists £8,000, third-round losers £5,000, second-round losers £3,500, and first-round losers £2,000.

Reigning champion Gerwyn Price will defend his title after a commanding 8-3 win over Gary Anderson just under a year ago. However, Anderson will not appear as he continues his European Tour absence. Luke Littler is also not featuring, but world number two Luke Humphries returns to European Tour action, alongside Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen. Other notable entrants include Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Stephen Bunting, Danny Noppert, Chris Dobey, Nathan Aspinall, and home hero Martin Schindler.

An important detail regarding prize money: the top 16 seeded players qualify directly into the tournament, but if they lose their opening match, the associated prize money is not added to the rankings. However, players who qualified through a qualifying event and are subsequently designated as seeded players due to withdrawals will see their earned prize money reflected on the rankings. The prize money counts towards the PDC Order of Merit, the Pro Tour Order of Merit, and especially the European Tour Order of Merit, which offers qualification later in the season for Dortmund.
