JOYCE SURVIVES SIX MISSED MATCH DARTS TO EDGE WATTIMENA IN DRAMATIC DECIDER

Ryan Joyce produced a remarkable escape act at the 2026 International Darts Open on Sunday afternoon, surviving six missed match darts from Jermaine Wattimena to win a dramatic deciding leg thriller. The match was part of the final day's last-16 action in Riesa, with a stacked line-up chasing quarter-final places.

Joyce's victory was the standout moment of the afternoon session, as Wattimena squandered six opportunities to seal the win before the Englishman snatched the decider. The result keeps Joyce in contention for a deep run in the tournament.

Elsewhere, Michael van Gerwen returns to the stage after surviving six Madars Razma match darts on Saturday night. Stephen Bunting, Rob Cross, James Wade, Wessel Nijman, Kevin Doets and home favourite Martin Schindler are all in action during Sunday's session.
