Entries have been confirmed for the next Players Championship double header, set to take place on June 16-17 at Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan. The two tournaments will feature 128 players each, comprising PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members, competing for £15,000 per event.
Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen, and Michael van Gerwen lead the field. Wessel Nijman, who has won five Players Championship titles in 2026, also headlines alongside Chris Dobey as they aim to continue their impressive seasons. Notable absentees include Nathan Aspinall and Luke Littler, who have largely skipped ProTour events this season. Gary Anderson is also not involved, along with Matthias Ehlers and Stefaan Henderyck. Replacing them are Joe Hunt, Derek Coulson, Tommy Lishman, Daniel Ayres, and Tommy Morris.
Some World Series participants are taking it easier given their commitments in New York the following weekend, with players either opting for the ProTour or the Slovak Darts Open that week. Humphries, for instance, will not play in Slovakia but will compete in Wigan. Further withdrawals are possible as the tournaments approach, especially following the World Cup of Darts this weekend, but for now the withdrawal list is minimal.
The full entry list includes 128 players, among them Daniel Ayres, Keane Barry, Stephen Bunting, Dave Chisnall, Jonny Clayton, Rob Cross, Joe Cullen, Chris Dobey, Brendan Dolan, Daryl Gurney, Damon Heta, Luke Humphries, Kim Huybrechts, Mervyn King, Christian Kist, Wessel Nijman, Danny Noppert, Gerwyn Price, Krzysztof Ratajski, Josh Rock, Martin Schindler, Michael Smith, Ross Smith, Mensur Suljovic, Raymond van Barneveld, Dimitri Van den Bergh, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Michael van Gerwen, Gian van Veen, James Wade, Jermaine Wattimena, Ian White, Peter Wright, and many more.
