SLOVAK DARTS OPEN 2026: FIELD, FORMAT, DRAW AND SCHEDULE CONFIRMED

The Slovak Darts Open 2026 is set to take place from 19-21 June, marking the ninth of fifteen European Tour events on the 2026 PDC ProTour. For the first time, the tournament will be held in Slovakia, at the Incheba venue in Bratislava. The event features a field of 48 players competing for a total prize fund of £230,000, with £35,000 awarded to the winner.

Among the top names confirmed are Gian van Veen, Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, and Gerwyn Price. However, Luke Humphries and Luke Littler have opted to skip the tournament. Humphries explained on X that the logistical challenge of going straight to New York for the World Cup of Darts was too great, and he believes Littler would have played if the scheduling had been better.

The seeded players list is headlined by Gian van Veen as the number one seed, followed by Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Gerwyn Price, Danny Noppert, Stephen Bunting, Gary Anderson, Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle, Nathan Aspinall, Ross Smith, Wessel Nijman, Jermaine Wattimena, Martin Schindler, and Mike De Decker. The PDC ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers include Kevin Doets, Luke Woodhouse, Niko Springer, Damon Heta, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Krzysztof Ratajski, Niels Zonneveld, Daryl Gurney, William O'Connor, Andrew Gilding, Joe Cullen, Cameron Menzies, Ryan Joyce, Karel Sedláček, Rob Cross, and Kim Huybrechts. Tour Card qualifiers feature Mervyn King, Owen Bates, Benjamin Pratnemer, Jim Long, Keane Barry, Tyler Thorpe, Justin Hood, Tom Sykes, Jeffrey de Graaf, and Cristo Reyes. Host nation qualifiers are yet to be confirmed, while Johan Engström (Sweden) and Péter Kelemen (Hungary) have qualified via the Nordic & Baltic and East European qualifiers respectively.

The tournament format sees all matches from the first round through to the quarter-finals played as best of 11 legs (first to 6). The semi-finals are best of 13 legs (first to 7), and the final is best of 15 legs (first to 8). The draw will be confirmed on 18 June 2026 at around 12pm BST, the day before the tournament begins. The schedule will be announced at the same time, typically following the pattern of top names playing on Saturday, while ProTour qualifiers face qualifiers on Friday.
