The Flanders Darts Trophy is set to take place from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026 at the Antwerp Expo in Antwerp, Belgium, with 48 players competing for a share of £230,000 in prize money. The tournament is the thirteenth of fifteen PDC European Tour events on the 2026 PDC ProTour, and £35,000 will go to the outright winner.
Luke Littler is the defending champion, having defeated Josh Rock 8-7 in the 2025 final, but he won't play this year. Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen currently lead the way, while Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Jonny Clayton and Gary Anderson have all withdrawn late.
The prize money is distributed across every round, with the runner-up receiving £15,000, semi-finalists earning £10,000, and quarter-finalists taking home £8,000. Third-round exits are worth £5,000, second-round losses £3,500, and first-round defeats £2,000. As of a few years ago, the European Tour changed in regards to seeded players: the top 16 on the PDC Order of Merit are guaranteed entry and do not need to qualify for the tournament. However, if a seed loses their opening game, the prize money doesn't count towards the rankings and will not be added to any Order of Merit. It works differently for qualifiers — players who come through a qualifier and then move into seeded position due to withdrawals will still get ranking money, and their earnings will be included on various Order of Merits.
The prize money also impacts multiple rankings, with Antwerp heading towards the conclusion of this year's European Tour. It counts towards the PDC Order of Merit and the ProTour Order of Merit, but most notably the European Tour Order of Merit. That list is decisive when it comes towards the European Championship in Dortmund later this season. In addition, a player's position on that European Tour ranking also determines seeding for the season finale — the higher you are, the more favourable the European Championship draw. At the same time, there is a risk: big names can miss out if they skip events or underperform on the European Tour.
