The Flanders Darts Trophy 2026 reaches its climax on Sunday, September 13 in Antwerp, with James Wade set to face Ross Smith in the final. The European Tour event, now in its 13th edition, has been held from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13, and continues the PDC's run of events in countries outside Germany, with Basel and Maastricht in Switzerland and the Netherlands to follow.
Coverage is available live on PDC TV, with the tournament spread over three days and two sessions daily. Afternoon sessions start at 12:00 PM BST, while evening sessions begin at 6:00 PM BST. The Sunday evening session, running from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, features the third round, quarterfinals, semifinals and final. The full schedule is as follows: Friday, September 11 – First round, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (afternoon) and 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM (evening); Saturday, September 12 – Second round, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (afternoon) and 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (evening); Sunday, September 13 – Third round, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (afternoon) and quarterfinals, semifinals and final, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (evening).
The line-up in Antwerp has been subject to change. Luke Littler, the defending champion, was set to play but was considered semi-unlikely to feature given he had qualified for the European Championship. Luke Humphries would have been top seed but, after shoulder issues during his final run, he might also have taken a weekend off. Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen were among those involved who would take de facto top billing if the two Lukes decided not to play. Beau Greaves, who made history last time out by becoming the first female to win on the European Tour, returned after qualifying for the last three events. Raymond van Barneveld, Martin Schindler, Rob Cross, Joe Cullen and Cameron Menzies were also among the field, mostly qualifying through the ProTour and some through the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
The big names entered the tournament on Saturday, facing ProTour players or Qualifiers who played on Friday, meaning the first chance to catch most of the stars was Saturday night. From the latter stages, the draw goes into bracket order, so the winner of each game faces the next in the quarterfinals, making it easier to follow and creating further narrative.
In the Sunday afternoon session, Gerwyn Price was dumped out as Nathan Aspinall, James Wade and Gian van Veen reached the quarterfinals. James Wade went on to end a 10-year Euro Tour drought, with his resurgence continuing just weeks after his maiden World Series title.
