The PDC World Grand Prix is set to take place between 28 September and 4 October 2026 at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester, with the winner receiving £150,000 from a total prize fund of £750,000. It will be the 29th staging of the World Grand Prix by the PDC, and the total prize fund will be increased this year. The East Midlands city has long hosted the tournament since it moved from Dublin during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The tournament will feature 32 players: 16 from the one-year PDC Order of Merit and the top 16 players from the one-year PDC ProTour rankings who had not yet qualified. Luke Littler will be the defending champion having beaten Luke Humphries 6-1 in the 2025 final. Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen, Jonny Clayton, James Wade and Stephen Bunting are among those who are also involved, as well as Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall, Josh Rock, and Damon Heta, among others.
The prize money breakdown sees the winner claim £150,000, while the runner-up receives £80,000. Semi-finalists earn £50,000, quarter-finalists are set for £35,000, and reaching the second round is worth £20,000. First-round losers get £7,500 each, which fully accounts for the whole total of £750,000 for the tournament. The event begins a key run of events before the PDC World Darts Championship at the end of the season.
