Wessel Nijman remains by some distance the standout player of 2026 on the PDC Pro Tour. The Dutchman tops the Pro Tour Order of Merit with £319,750 and, with six events still to play, holds a healthy lead over his closest chasers.
The Pro Tour Order of Merit is compiled from prize money won at Players Championships and European Tours over a rolling 52-week period. Nijman has built a sizeable cushion, largely thanks to a stellar first half of the season. The Dutchman has already won six Players Championship events in 2026 plus two titles on the European Tour. His most recent win, however, dates back three months. That drought has barely dented his grip on top spot.
Nijman sits on £319,750, keeping Ross Smith well behind him. The Englishman is second with £234,500. Luke Woodhouse follows in third on £192,500, while Chris Dobey holds fourth with £186,500. There are still four Players Championships and two European Tours to come in 2026. With a lead of more than £85,000 over Smith, Nijman is strongly placed to end the season as the Pro Tour Order of Merit number one.
Outside that leading quartet, Kevin Doets is in the top five and he is joined by Jermaine Wattimena propping up Dutch hopes. By comparison, Michael van Gerwen is in 26th spot. Doets has shown incredibly steady growth in recent months and gets his reward with where he is placed. Nathan Aspinall too sits in the top 10 with his European Tour form being the big benchmark. Krzysztof Ratajski, Danny Noppert and somewhat surprisingly of sorts Stephen Bunting complete the top 10. Andrew Gilding, Jonny Clayton, Ryan Searle and as we will get onto, Luke Humphries and Gian van Veen complete the top 15.
It is notable that the top three in the regular PDC Order of Merit sit much lower on the Pro Tour list. Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, and Gian van Veen lead the world rankings, but their Pro Tour Order of Merit positions tell a different story. Humphries is fourteenth. The Englishman has appeared at just 13 of the 43 Pro Tour events staged this year. When he did play, he was lethal: Humphries won four of those 13 tournaments. His limited schedule, however, leaves him trailing those who have played far more often. Van Veen follows directly behind Humphries in fifteenth. The Dutchman has played far more, with 31 Pro Tour events, but is still waiting for his first title of the season on this circuit. Van Veen has reached two finals and two semi-finals so far. Littler sits much lower. The world number one is only 27th. “The Nuke” has competed in just two Players Championships and three European Tours in 2026. Even so, he won two of those three European Tour events.
James Wade too at a higher echelon and Gerwyn Price also sit nowhere near the top of the ProTour Order of Merit in 17th and 22nd. Even Cameron Menzies is only marginally ahead of Van Gerwen and Littler despite being a multiple title winner in 2026.
