The World Grand Prix is underway at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester, and Tuesday night's evening session features a highly anticipated first-round tie between Luke Humphries and Dave Chisnall, scheduled to start at 21:10. The tournament runs from Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October, with the unique double-in, double-out format requiring players to start and finish on a double.
Humphries, the 2025 runner-up after losing 6-1 to Luke Littler in the final, faces Chisnall, one of the 16 ProTour qualifiers. Littler leads the field as defending champion, but his title defence ended in an opening-night shock, while Michael van Gerwen also crashed out. The top 16 in the PDC Order of Merit includes Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, James Wade and Gary Anderson. The ProTour contingent is led by Luke Woodhouse and Kevin Doets, with Cameron Menzies, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Dave Chisnall, Joe Cullen and Rob Cross among the 16.
Tuesday's first-round session begins at 18:10 with Chris Dobey against Jermaine Wattimena, followed by Ryan Searle vs William O'Connor at 18:40, Josh Rock vs Niels Zonneveld at 19:10, James Wade vs Joe Cullen at 19:40, Gary Anderson vs Damon Heta at 20:10, Gian van Veen vs Dirk van Duijvenbode at 20:40, Humphries vs Chisnall at 21:10, and Stephen Bunting vs Andrew Gilding at 21:40. The first round continues on Tuesday 29 September with both sessions starting at 6pm.
The second round takes place on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October over two sessions starting at 7pm. The quarter-finals are on Friday 2 October from 7pm, while the semi-finals on Saturday 3 October and the final on Sunday 4 October both start at 8pm. The tournament is broadcast on Sky Sports, Viaplay in the Netherlands, DAZN in Germany, and PDCTV as part of a monthly subscription or annual package for around £50 a year, which also gives fans the chance to buy tickets.
