World No 1 Luke Littler suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Luke Woodhouse on the opening night of the World Grand Prix in Leicester, as six-time champion Michael van Gerwen was also eliminated.
The double blow leaves the tournament wide open after just one day of action, with two of the biggest names in darts sent packing early.
Littler, the top-ranked player in the world, was beaten 2-1 by Woodhouse, while Van Gerwen – a six-time winner of the event – also made an early exit.
Day two of the World Grand Prix will be shown live on Sky Sports+ from 6pm on Tuesday.
