The World Grand Prix is set to take place between 28 September and 4 October 2026 at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester, with the winner set to pocket a cool £150,000 from a total prize fund of £750,000. The East Midlands city has long hosted the tournament since it moved from Dublin during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this year marks the 29th staging of the World Grand Prix by the PDC.

The tournament will feature 32 players — 16 from the one-year PDC Order of Merit and the top 16 players from the one-year PDC ProTour rankings who had not yet qualified. Luke Littler will be the defending champion having beaten Luke Humphries 6-1 in the 2025 final. Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen, Jonny Clayton, James Wade and Stephen Bunting are among those who are also involved, as well as Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall, Josh Rock and Damon Heta, among others.

The prize money breakdown sees the winner claim £150,000, while the runner-up will receive £80,000. Semi-finalists are set for £50,000, quarter-finalists will earn £35,000, and reaching the second round is worth £20,000. First-round losers get £7,500 each, which fully accounts for the whole total of £750,000 for the tournament. It begins a key run of events before the PDC World Darts Championship at the end of the season.

With the stakes high and the field packed with talent, the World Grand Prix promises to be a crucial battleground in the race for major silverware and ranking points.
