The second round of the Swiss Darts Trophy takes place this Saturday in Basel, with a packed afternoon session featuring some of the biggest names in the sport. The number one in Europe this year, Ross Smith, headlines the action, while the 2025 runner-up Luke Woodhouse faces a highly anticipated clash against Rob Cross. Chris Dobey, Ryan Searle, Wessel Nijman, Martin Schindler and Michael Smith all feature as players battle to get over the line and return on Sunday.
In a ruthless display that hushed the Basel crowd, Krzysztof Ratajski thrashed a lacklustre Bellmont, continuing his impressive run at the tournament. Meanwhile, Karel Sedlacek stunned Wessel Nijman as his purple patch continued, adding another notable result to his week in Switzerland.
The live coverage from Basel follows a dramatic opening night that saw Raymond van Barneveld eliminated, while Michael Smith and Dave Chisnall survived opening-night scares. The tournament has also been marked by a high-profile withdrawal list, with Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and Nathan Aspinall among the stars to pull out of the event.
Attention also turns to the Grand Slam of Darts 2026, where the field is taking shape with 29 players confirmed so far, though no Jonny Clayton or Gary Anderson yet. Back in Basel, the Saturday afternoon session continues with live updates as the second round unfolds.
