The Swiss Darts Trophy 2026 is offering a total prize fund of £230,000, with the winner set to bank £35,000 on Sunday evening at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel. The runner-up will collect £15,000, while the four semi-finalists are assured of at least £10,000.
The European Tour event takes place from Friday 09.10.2026 to Sunday 11.10.2026 and features a field of 48 players, led by top seed Luke Humphries. Gian van Veen is seeded second, followed by Jonny Clayton and James Wade. Michael van Gerwen, Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price are also involved. Luke Woodhouse leads the ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers alongside Kevin Doets, Andrew Gilding, Rob Cross, Niko Springer, Joe Cullen, Cameron Menzies and Damon Heta among others. Stephen Bunting, Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross, Michael Smith, Damon Heta and Dave Chisnall are also set to toe the oche.
The prize money breakdown is as follows: every player eliminated in the first round receives £2,000, a spot in the second round is worth £3,500, while third-round losers head home with £5,000. Quarter-finalists earn £8,000, semi-finalists take home £10,000, the runner-up collects £15,000, and the champion pockets £35,000. For seeded players, prize money does not count towards the Orders of Merit if they lose their opening match of the tournament.
The Swiss Darts Trophy appears on the European Tour calendar for only the third time. The inaugural edition in 2024 was won by Martin Schindler, who trailed Ryan Searle 7–4 in the final but capitalised on seven missed match darts by the Englishman to prevail 8–7. A year later the title went to Stephen Bunting. “The Bullet” beat Luke Woodhouse 8–3 in the final and returns to Basel this year as defending champion.
With a strong field and £35,000 to the winner, Switzerland once again offers a lucrative top prize.
