HONG KONG STARS SHARE TITLES AS MONGOLIA MAKES HISTORY ON PDC ASIAN TOUR IN JAPAN

The second weekend of the PDC Asian Tour season in Shizuoka, Japan, held on April 4-5, 2026, saw Hong Kong's Lok Yin Lee and Man Lok Leung split the victories, while Mongolia's Ganzorig Lkhagvasuren etched his name into the record books. Lee, 25, reached three consecutive finals, starting with a whitewash of Pin Ching Lan and a 4-1 win over compatriot Man Lok Leung where he averaged nearly 98. He then defeated Japan's Osamu Niki, Shoichi Yanase, and Ryuta Arihara, with a deciding-leg triumph over Yanase, before beating Yan Bin Chen 5-2 in the semi-finals and Paolo Nebrida 5-3 in the Event Five final.

Lee's bid for a second title was halted by Japan's Tomoya Goto in Event Six, as Goto rallied from 3-1 down to win 5-4 with legs of 11, 13, and 14 darts, having earlier taken out Christian Perez and Haruki Muramatsu. On Sunday, Event Seven featured an all-Hong Kong final where Man Lok Leung edged Lee 5-4 in a last-leg decider for his second Asian Tour title of the year. Leung, 27, impressed with a 103 average in the semi-finals against Odkhuu Khundaganai, producing legs of 15, 14, 11, 15, and 11 darts, after scraping past Takayuki Masatsu and Jargalsaikhan Ulziibuyan.

The weekend culminated in a historic moment as Ganzorig Lkhagvasuren became the first Mongolian player to win a PDC Asian Tour title. He started with two whitewash victories, defeated compatriot Bold Chuluunbaatar, then dispatched Paolo Nebrida, Yan Bin Chen, and Christian Perez before outclassing Ryuta Arihara 5-0 in the Event Eight final. In the Asian Tour rankings, Arihara holds third place despite the final loss, with Lee and Motomu Sakai in fourth and fifth. Leung strengthened his lead, while Haruki Muramatsu, despite averaging 106.97 in a losing effort on Sunday—the highest losing average in Asian Tour history—slips to second. At season's end, the top five players will qualify for the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in London.
