EUROPEAN DARTS GRAND PRIX 2026: FULL FIELD CONFIRMED AS ANDERSON DEFENDS TITLE IN SINDELFINGEN

The European Darts Grand Prix 2026 is scheduled for 17-19 April 2026 at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen. Defending champion Gary Anderson, who defeated Andrew Gilding 8-0 in the 2025 final, will return for Event Five of the European Tour. Notably, Luke Humphries and Luke Littler will not be participating, with Littler also not playing the ProTour that week as he continues to focus on the Premier League.

The top seed is Gian van Veen, alongside Michael van Gerwen, with Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Josh Rock, and Gerwyn Price also among the main seeds. The seeded players are: 1. Gian van Veen, 2. Michael van Gerwen, 3. Jonny Clayton, 4. James Wade, 5. Josh Rock, 6. Gerwyn Price, 7. Stephen Bunting, 8. Danny Noppert, 9. Gary Anderson, 10. Ryan Searle, 11. Chris Dobey, 12. Ross Smith, 13. Nathan Aspinall, 14. Martin Schindler, 15. Jermaine Wattimena, and 16. Mike De Decker. Qualifiers include PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit qualifiers: Wessel Nijman, Damon Heta, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Cameron Menzies, Niels Zonneveld, Niko Springer, Krzysztof Ratajski, Daryl Gurney, William O'Connor, Ryan Joyce, Dave Chisnall, Andrew Gilding, Joe Cullen, Karel Sedláček, Kevin Doets, and Peter Wright. Tour Card qualifiers are: Rob Cross, Jurjen van der Velde, Mickey Mansell, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Kim Huybrechts, Raymond van Barneveld, Oskar Lukasiak, Maik Kuivenhoven, Madars Razma, and Keane Barry. Host Nation qualifiers are: Michael Hurtz, Paul Krohne, Michael Unterbuchner, and Robin Masino. The Nordic & Baltic qualifier is Valters Melderis, and the East European qualifier is TBC.

The draw will be confirmed on Thursday 16 April 2026 at around 12pm BST, with the schedule confirmed at the same time. The first round sees ProTour qualifiers face Tour Card Holder qualifiers for a chance to meet the top 16 in the second round on Saturday. Predictions from editors vary: Samuel Gill picks Danny Noppert or Gary Anderson to win, noting Noppert lost the final 8-5 to Nathan Aspinall recently. Oliver Ried predicts Michael van Gerwen will win, with Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price as contenders, and expects Host Nation qualifiers Michael Unterbuchner and Paul Krohne to reach the second round, with one making the last 16. Lucas Michael selects Gerwyn Price for glory, citing his form and absence of Littler. Mats Leering also favors Price, highlighting Dutch players like Niels Zonneveld and Wessel Nijman. Bram Coenen picks Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton as top favorites, noting Anderson's expected defense and Dutch talent. Nicolas Gayer predicts James Wade will win, ending his near-ten-year wait for a European Tour title. Pieter Verbeek chooses Gerwyn Price as the standout favorite, with Nathan Aspinall and Jonny Clayton as strong competition.
