MICHAEL VAN GERWEN DOMINATES TO REACH EUROPEAN DARTS GRAND PRIX LAST 16

Michael van Gerwen has sailed into the last 16 of the 2026 European Darts Grand Prix with a dominant win over German crowd favourite Michael Unterbuchner. The match was part of a stacked second-round session on Saturday evening in Sindelfingen, which also featured heavyweight clashes like Gerwyn Price facing Dave Chisnall, Nathan Aspinall meeting Jeffrey de Zwaan, and Martin Schindler up against Damon Heta in front of a home crowd.

The event continues with live action, following a Saturday afternoon round-up that saw defending champion Anderson dumped out as Bunting and Rock surged through. Earlier in the tournament, Peter Wright crashed out as Cameron Menzies fired a 104 average to beat Raymond van Barneveld.

In other darts news, Vincent van der Voort commented that refusing Deta Hedman should have been suspended, saying, 'Then there should be sanctions on it, and say that she is no longer welcome.' Meanwhile, Steve Beaton is enjoying his return to darts, noting, 'He’s just messing around, swearing, drink on stage—it’s such a laugh,' as he outlines future ambitions. In the Premier League Darts 2026, Clayton has extended his lead over Littler with a fourth nightly win.
