GERWYN PRICE JOINS ELITE CLUB WITH 10TH EURO TOUR TITLE, TRAILING ONLY VAN GERWEN

Gerwyn Price has cemented his status as one of the European Tour's all-time greats by becoming only the second player ever to win at least ten titles on the circuit. The Welshman achieved the milestone on Sunday by claiming the European Darts Grand Prix 2026 in Sindelfingen, defeating Ross Smith in the final. Only Michael van Gerwen, with 38 Euro Tour titles, stands ahead of Price in the record books.

Price's first Euro Tour triumph came at the 2018 International Darts Open in Riesa, which he successfully defended in 2019 before adding the Belgian Darts Championship in 2020. He secured victories at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy and Hungarian Darts Trophy in 2021, then won the International Darts Open again in 2022 and 2023. After a title-less 2024—his first since 2018—he bounced back with the Baltic Sea Darts Open in 2025 before notching his tenth title in Sindelfingen. Reflecting on the achievement with humor, Price joked, "I've been in the PDC for 12 years now - so less than one a year on average isn't very good!" but added, "I'm glad I've won this one and hopefully it gives me a bit of confidence for the period ahead."

The numbers underscore Price's dominance: he has won ten of the thirteen Euro Tour finals he has played, reaching nineteen semi-finals and converting thirteen of those into final appearances. Since his first title in September 2018, Van Gerwen has won just one more Euro Tour event than Price (eleven to ten), with Luke Humphries next on nine titles. At 41, Price's consistency is evident, having remained firmly inside the world's top sixteen for over eight consecutive years. He also noted a shift in fan support, saying, "I never used to have this support, but I'm cherishing every moment I get on stage - it's brilliant for me and may it continue!"
