Luke Humphries has revealed that the weight of expectation made England's World Cup of Darts triumph alongside Luke Littler even more special. The English duo defeated the Netherlands 10-5 in the final to claim the title on their second time of asking, following a disappointing 2025 campaign that heaped on the pressure.

The second-seeded Dutch pair of Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen were unable to stop the English charge as Humphries and Littler delivered a commanding performance in the decider. Humphries admitted that the pressure of past failures made the victory all the more meaningful.

“It was a tough road, but that makes it sweeter,” Humphries said after the match. The win marks a redemption story for the English pair, who fell short in their previous attempt to lift the World Cup trophy together.
