Nathan Aspinall has tightened the race at the top of the PDC European Tour Order of Merit after claiming the German Darts Grand Prix title in Munich last weekend. Aspinall defeated Danny Noppert 8-5 in the final, a result that propelled both players into the top 10 of the standings. The victory sees Aspinall move to third place with £40,000 in prize money, now just £3,000 behind second-placed Wessel Nijman.
Luke Humphries retains the top spot with £45,000 despite skipping the Munich event, holding a £2,000 lead over Nijman. Luke Littler, who also did not play last weekend, sits fourth with £40,000, narrowly behind the leaders. The top five is completed by Niels Zonneveld on £31,500, following a quarterfinal run in Munich that adds to his strong year featuring two earlier semi-finals.
Noppert's runner-up finish lifts him to sixth with £28,000, while Michael Smith shows signs of a resurgence by entering the top 10 at tenth with £20,000 after reaching the quarterfinals. The top 32 after the 15 tournaments in 2026 will qualify for the European Championship, where Gian van Veen will defend his title after beating Humphries 11-10 in last year's final. Notable players currently outside the top 32 include Stephen Bunting (34th), Dave Chisnall (39th), Joe Cullen (41st), Mike De Decker (60th), and Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld (joint 69th). Gary Anderson is absent from the list as he has not played a tournament yet.
The next event is the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen, Germany, scheduled for 17-19 April 2026. Anderson will start as defending champion after his 8-0 victory over Andrew Gilding in last year's final.
