NO DUTCH DELIGHT IN MUNICH AS ASPINALL DENIES NOPPERT FOR GERMAN DARTS GRAND PRIX TITLE

Nathan Aspinall claimed the 2026 German Darts Grand Prix title in Munich with an 8-5 victory over Danny Noppert in the final. Aspinall sealed the win with a classy 128 checkout to triumph in the Elten Safety Shoes-sponsored event, marking his fourth European Tour title.

Noppert was realistic in defeat, telling the PDC: "I didn't show up in the final, and Nathan was the deserved winner." Despite the loss, the Dutchman remained positive about his performance, adding: "I'm really happy to be in the final again. I always believe in [winning] a title. I don't know when, but I'm proud to reach the final."

The runner-up highlighted his consistent level on the European Tour, acknowledging there's room for improvement. "Of course I wanted to lift the title," Noppert admitted. "There is another level I can go to, and I am pushing myself hard every time." With his current form, Noppert will now turn his focus to upcoming PDC events.

The next European Tour event is the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen, Germany, scheduled from April 17th through April 19th. Gary Anderson will defend his title there after beating Andrew Gilding 8-0 in last year's final.
